(More customer reviews)I've exclusively breastfed by pumping for over a year now using the Medela Lactina.The product advertised here is the kit only, NOT the breastpump.That means the white and yellow pieces are included, not the big blue box - the pump is much more expensive.It can be rented from your hospital or purchased for about $800.The kits however do eventually wear out, especially if it gets used as much as mine has the gaskets in the piston wear out and the tubing gets tattered.Getting an average of about 4 hrs/day usage for over a year I've worn out one piston and have the second broken in but lots of life left in it.It's nice to be able to replace it all to keep it working the best you can.If you use a Pump in Style this includes the Personal Fit connectors, tubing, shields, valves, membrane and bottles, plus an extra piston you won't need to use.You can use the piston like a manual pump but it's very difficult to hold the attachments to yourself and work the piston at the same time.It may be cheaper to buy a kit than each of these pieces separately if you want an extra set.
